Director General's Message
Theme for the 2007 – 2008
School Year:“Year of the Chameleon”

"Working to develop life-long independent learners, who can change and evolve to meet challenging new environments; students who will not just be able to SURVIVE but THRIVE in an ever-changing world".

January 9, 2008 (ELM School Year #43)
Great Start and Great Expectations!  On behalf of both the faculty and staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new, returning, and prospective Escuela Las Morochas families. We would like to pass along our best wishes for continued success during our school year.  We are anxious work with you to make ELM a great place for teaching and learning!

As a community, we all share the responsibility of building an even better Escuela Las Morochas.   This year, the ‘year of the chameleon,’ we will continue to seek quality communication alongside positive parent involvement.  These are the essential ingredients for the partnership between home and school.

At ELM, we promote the contact between teachers and parents, both on an informal basis, and also in more structures formats such as:

  • Back to School Night
  • Monthly Parent Drop In Afternoons
  • Java with Jeff (Coffee with the Director)
  • Teacher or parent requested meetings
  • Student led conferences in Grades 2 -9.

In the year of the chameleon our goal remains simple:  “excellence to the highest level.”  To that end, all of us here at ELM look forward to working side by side with the entire ELM family as we continue our journey of going from “Good to Great!”
Educating our children takes a community, and we are honored to be part of your community.
